The Association of Austria and the Nordic Countries (VÖNL) is organizing a Midsummer's Eve celebration on June 20, 2026, from 3 PM to 10 PM at Sportplatz Turnverein Liesing, Pellmanngasse 8, 1230 Vienna.
This year, the festival is held especially in honor of Iceland! Our contribution as Icelanders is to sing a few classic folk songs. The other board members and I are looking for some singing birds to support us—we are all amateurs in this area, so it would be great if it could be a group sing-along. Proceeds from the singing will go to the association.
We have been informed that people representing us will get free admission to the event. There will also be a raffle with two plane tickets to Iceland as the grand prize! The festival is family-friendly.
We would greatly appreciate it if anyone has Icelandic costumes or other traditions or acts that could play a part in the festival.
